Last Thursday we held our first open event of the academic year, welcoming prospective parents, carers and students of our Year 7 2024/25 intake. It was wonderful to meet so many of you personally throughout the evening and I hope those in attendance enjoyed getting a glimpse into life and learning at CCS. A special thank you to all students who volunteered their time to help, being a friendly face to welcome visitors, offering personal tours and sharing their first-hand knowledge of the school – we couldn’t do it without you! From one open event to another, I am pleased to announce tours of our Foundation Stage are now available to book for w/c 9 November. We have several sessions available (subject to availability) including morning, afternoon and an evening slot. If you or anyone you know has a pre-school aged child starting school next September, we invite you to join us to see what our Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ Foundation Stage has to offer! It has been a winning week for our young footballers, with both our U14 boys and girls securing fantastic results in their recent matches. On Tuesday, our U14 boys welcomed Weavers Academy and played incredibly to secure an 8-3 win. The following day, our U14 girls met Northampton Academy and put on an absolutely stellar performance, scoring 16 goals!! A huge congratulations to both teams who now advance to the next round of the County Cup. Warm regards, David James |
Key Dates
German Exchange programme – students visiting CCS Over the next 9 days, our German exchange students will be enjoying an itinerary full of fantastic excursions, a visit to the school, and time spent exploring the local area and with their host families. Bookings are now live for our virtual Meet the Tutor event. Please visit Edulink to secure a slot with your child’s tutor before the deadline of Wednesday 11 October at 11:55pm.
Year 11 PPEs Afterschool revision sessions continue to be available in core and option subjects. Please encourage students to speak to their class teachers for more details.
