Our Visual Art department has very excitingly entered 12 of our exceptional Year 9 art students into an inter-school art competition, hosted by Stowe House Preservation Trust, based at Stowe School and part of the National Trust. As part of the competition, the students visited Stowe House last Thursday, enjoying a day filled with wonderful art workshops, deepening their knowledge of various sketching techniques, cross-stitch, collage, sculpture and gilding. During the workshops, the students had to respond to the three themes of Portraiture, Architecture and Restoration, with each session situated in a different room in the house, allowing the students to fully immerse themselves in their incredible surroundings. Faculty Leader of Visual Art, Mr Walker, was very keen to note, the students were fantastic and really enjoyed the experience. Students now have six weeks to produce a piece of artwork to submit to the competition, and we will be running weekly lunchtime sessions to help them achieve this. Completed artworks will be taken to Stowe House by the Visual Art department, in readiness for a Private View and awards ceremony in July. We look forward to seeing the no-doubt impressive artwork created for this special competition and sharing news of how students get on in due course!

MedSoc would like to say a massive thank you for all the support in their first day of selling donuts. They sold out in record speed and due to high demand we will be ordering over double the amount for next week (Friday 10th May). To help speed up the process we encourage students to opt to use ParentPay in advance so we can ensure we have more than enough donuts. Don't forget to place your order by 3.20pm on Thursday 9th May. Donuts can be collected at break or lunchtime on the street outside C block. Your contribution is helping raise vital funds for these important charities - the Northampton Health Charity, The Royal Medical Benevolence Fund (RMBF) and CCS! Well done MedSoc and all the volunteers!

Our primary school students from Years 1-6 have been on an incredible journey over the past two weeks, conquering the TCS Mini London Marathon! Each child ran, jogged, or walked 2.6 miles around our school's nature trail, spreading smiles and positive vibes every step of the way. Our reception students also joined in on the action, teaming up with their Year 6 buddies for a walk around the nature trail one afternoon. It was a heartwarming display of camaraderie as our youngest and oldest students enjoyed the outdoors. Amidst the fun, our students embodied the core values of High Performance Learning (HPL), showcasing remarkable perseverance, resilience, and empathy. They cheered on their peers, proving that teamwork and support make all the difference. Beyond the physical challenge, our young runners also delved into the heartwarming stories of charity work associated with the marathon. They discovered the impact made by previous participants, including our very own Miss Carter and Mr. Wood, who championed causes close to their hearts. We couldn't be prouder of our students for their dedication, sportsmanship, and compassion throughout this special event. Here's to the spirit of determination and generosity that continues to shine bright within our school community! #TCSMiniLondonMarathon #HPLValues

Caroline Chisholm School faced NSB in a highly anticipated final for the County Cup, seeking redemption after last year's defeat on penalties. CCS made sure there would be no repeat of that again. "From kick-off, CCS asserted dominance and soon the scoreboard lit up as CCS took an early lead after just 3 minutes. A dream start. A second goal came within the first 10 minutes of the game and, after a finely worked move, CCS scored their third of the game in the 18th minute, which remained the scoreline at half-time. NSB tried to break through the CCS's solid defence but were thwarted at every turn through some resolute defending and some fantastic saves from H. Duff in goal. CCS capitalised on NSB looking for their first goal of the game and launched relentless attacks when winning the ball to score again early in the second half. CCS's cohesive display proved too much for NSB and when the final whistle blew, CCS emerged triumphant with a resounding 6-0 victory. A man of the match display from T. Goodman helped propel the team to victory with 5 assists during the game. Scores included J. Ferreria, J. Foku, M. Marcu and C. Rosetti. A great season in which the team were unbeaten ended with captain R. Southworth lifting the county cup final trophy. All the boys that played for the team this season should be incredibly proud of themselves, as I certainly am." - Mr Ben Musgrove, Teacher of PE, Health and Wellbeing Well done on your fantastic achievement boys!
