Our Curriculum Values

Our curriculum is rooted in the belief that every child and young person is capable of achieving strong, academic success, whilst also developing ambition and confidence, through carefully planned learning experiences. Our curriculum is enriched by a wealth of extra-curricular opportunities designed to nurture and grow our students’ emerging aspirations.

All-through

Primary Phase

Our school offers an Outstanding Early Years provision, rated by Ofsted in January 2020.

We aim to provide school experiences and opportunities that promote and encourage Ambition, Confidence and Success for everyone. Our ethos is designed so that all pupils can aim high and unlock their individual potential.

Secondary Phase

Our school curriculum is rooted in our belief that every student is capable of achieving strong academic success whilst also developing ambition and confidence through carefully planned and challenging learning experiences.

As an all-through school, students and parents can reap the benefits of cross-phase learning, along with teachers being able to track progress across all phases. At our school, children stay settled and are able to build long-lasting friendships. 

Sixth Form

As a school, we pride ourselves in striving for excellence in all areas of learning. We build into our students an expectation that with hard work, determination and investment, almost everything is achievable.

Our sixth form provides a dynamic learning environment that inspires academic ambition and challenges our students to excel as they progress into their chosen next phase of education or employment.

Curriculum Subject Information

Our all-through school Curriculum Map is organised in to subject specific ‘Learning Journeys’ which provide an overview of the key subject content, as appropriate across the age phases, from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5.

The information provided on our Curriculum Learning Journeys reflects the key subject content and sequence of learning that learners can expect in our educational provision. Depending on school arrangements in line with government guidance, the curriculum experience may be adapted and differ from what is published. (Learning Journeys are continually reviewed and adapted.)
