In an incredible performance, the CCS boys' team achieved a well-deserved win against Sponne – a rare feat and the first time for many on the team, including their coach. The boys celebrated a momentous victory that showcased their dedication and hard work over the past few months.

The team’s discipline and sportsmanship were clear highlights of the match. Their maturity on the pitch was praised by their coach, who described the win as a “fantastic moment” to share with the team.

Looking ahead, the boys remain focused, with a tough match against Moulton just around the corner.

The girls narrowly missed out competing for the title in the afternoon due to goal difference, but did really well in the afternoon, drawing 2 and narrowly losing the last. Joint 7th finish out of 16 and all had a fantastic day in the cold.

  • Year 9 Rugby County Cup

    Published 20/11/24, by Autumn Wilson-Haywood

Well done to everyone who played! It was a great match with so many positives that we can work on to move forward.  Score 12 - 41.

It was hard for me to pick the player of the match, but the person I chose was someone that has shown lots of growth, and it was apparent in the match with some good runs getting stuck in the rucks and made some big tackles against some of those Moulton lads was great to see.

Player of the match: E Johnstone

CCS welcomed Pitsford for a Sixth Form netball friendly in the warmth of the Sports Hall.  It was a really lovely match with some fabulous netball being played and some great shooting by both teams.

Thanks to Y Priest (Y11) and E Swaffer, I Robertson and H Morris (all Year 10’s) who played up to help the team out after some of the sixth formers were unable to play last night at the last minute.  C Carver was amazing in defence and T Knox fed well into the circle.  As always R Mistry and L Turner gave 100% to this lovely team.

    Final score - CCS 16 – 19 Pitsford

Player of the Match R Mistry

  • League Netball at Parker Academy

    Published 06/11/24, by Autumn Wilson-Haywood

The 3 CCS netball teams travelled to The Parker Academy for the League Netball matches.

The Year 7 Team played really well and convincingly won their match.   Special mention to Captain M Southworth who dominated the circle and E Clewitt, deservedly got Player of the Match for wonderful shooting.

The Year 8 team had a tough match against a strong Parker team.  L Tipping played really well in the circle and was voted Player of the Match and M Gee and J Aluru defended really well

The Year 10 team had a very close match as The Parker Academy had some very strong players in their team.  However, I Robertson battled well and along with A Agyei who were outstanding in the centre court, CCS managed to win the last quarter to win the game.   E Swaffer played well at GD and GA and deserved her Player of the Match award.

Well done to the CCS teams for some great netball!
