The Year 8 rounders team travelled over to Sponne School for the district Year 8 rounders tournament. 

In the group matches, the girls beat Sponne and narrowly lost to Campion by a rounder. The team demonstrated some excellent batting and fielding in both games. Despite losing a game, the other results meant the group standings came down to rounders scored and CCS had scored half a rounder more than both Sponne and Campion! The team progressed to play the winner of the other group which was Moulton. 

The final game was a tight match, but the girls fielded brilliantly and knew the score to beat. They took some risks with their batting and won the match by half a rounder!
